Princess Elizabeth Steam Engine History

Princess Elizabeth was built for the LMS (London Midland Scottish Railway) and left Crewe works on 3rd November 1933 numbered 6201 and then 46201 after nationalisation. She was built for the London to Glasgow expresses and achieved a record breaking London to Glasgow run in 1936. Source: 6201 Princess Elizabeth Society
